You can move into Winter Housing on January 15th or 16th. Do NOT plan to arrive before then. You must plan to be on campus for Mandatory Orientation on January 17th.
Spring Housing will begin on January 18th.
The steps to apply for housing in the Residence Halls are:
Step 1: Follow this link to the Housing Contract Page.
Step 2: Click on the "Access the Housing Contract" box
Step 3: Login with your WyoWeb username and password
Step 4: Complete and submit the contract
Step 5: Check your UW email account for your housing assignment. Please note, this could take a few weeks, depending on when you submit your contract.
The assignment letter will be sent to your UWYO email account only.
Residence Life will not be able to fully process your contract or make your assignment until they have received your $100 housing fee which is not refundable.
You are NOT required to pay the $300 enrollment deposit. The housing application fee can be paid online as part of the application process.
*Housing assignments and contracts are sent to UWYO email addresses only. It is very important that you check your UWYO email account regularly for this important information. You can access this account from WyoWeb, after you are enrolled in at least one class.

There is no service available to help you find roommates. You must do this on your own. In order to receive your full apartment deposit back, you must complete a Vacate Form at least 60 days before you move out of your apartment.

We recommend that you complete this form right after you check in to your apartment.
Apartments will only include furniture upon request
o Linens, housewares (dishes, etc.) and internet routers are NOT included
o If you request an apartment, please be sure to indicate that you would like it to be furnished. If you do not, the apartment will be completely empty when you arrive (no beds, tables, etc.).
Bison Run is a very popular option for all students
Fall Semester Students should NOT apply for Bison Run, as you will not be released form your contract.
Academic Year Students be aware that Bison Run contracts are from August - July, even if you leave in May. Contracts are from August through July, even if you leave in May
Spring Semester Students be aware that you will be required to pay rent for all of January through July, even if you leave in May. Please note that space in Bison Run may not be available.
For the students who plan to live on campus. It is advised that you purchase bed linens before your arrival. To ease your travel to Laramie, you may mail the linens to your dorm before your arrival. Your address is as follows:

For those students moving to River or Landmark Village, please check with the Res Life & Dining team to confirm bed size.
Students may wish to use the site DormCo to purchase these items and take advantage of the student discount which they offer.
There is no service available to help you find an off-campus apartment
o If you choose to live off campus, you must explore housing options on your own.
o Please be aware that most off-campus rental contracts are one year in length.
o This means that if you sign a contract, you will not be released from it at the end of your exchange or study abroad term.
o You may be required to pay rent for an entire year.
o Most off-campus apartments are not furnished, and transportation may be difficult.
o Laramie does not have a public transportation system.
o If you are interested in an apartment complex in Laramie, please be sure to check reviews online.
o We recommend that exchange and study abroad students live on campus in a residence hall or a campus apartment.
o All contracts are binding
o You will not be released from your contract until it is complete at the end of the semester (or academic year)
o If you come in the fall and choose to extend your stay into the spring, you will not be released from your contract until the end of the spring semester
o Do not “sign” the electronic contract (accept room or apartment unless you intend to live there)
o If you accept a contract for a residence hall, you will not be permitted to move to an apartment.
